A Muse For The Soul

It has been a tough couple of years for us photographers, with unforeseen challenges and limitations, in the course of the never-ending pandemic. Numerous of us have embraced photography to its full potential, while others adapt it as a mental therapy. Photography means so much more than just a remembrance of an experience or a moment. We tend to emphasize on the outcome and its execution, and not what urges us to take a photograph in the first place.

A Muse For The Soul attempts to deconstruct an embodiment of photography, curiously collated by 11 amazing photographers, to its instinctive quality. It unveils a series of obscure visual narratives that expressively draws attention to ‘the feelings that come from within’. What is disguised on the surface of a photograph strangely triggers a sudden emotion that blazes out a desire to ‘snap’. Through personal interpretation, intuition and imagination, these photographers share a common ground in an inner spirit of photography. It may be joyous, hopeful, nostalgic or impulsively curious; a certain thing though, photography is truly a muse for the soul.
