Échame La Agua
Commissioned by Amy Patricia Morales and Elizabeth Garcia, artists from Miami, this photography book aims to present fascinating stories of the three LGBTQ+ Cuban refugees who arrived in Miami in the 80’s on the Mariel Boatlift. The overall design attempts to capture a sense of belonging and a reference to history through an off-white aesthetic. A selective colour scheme is specifically given to each story as a visual representation of their lives, beliefs and passions.
* This commissioned work does not include the design of front and back covers. It was playfully designed by Amy Patricia Morales.
