Introvert Habitat
Shielded from reality, anti-social and self-contained, Introvert Habitat surveys my deeply confidential personality that motivates an obscure social habit of ‘ghosting out’, in a work that curiously magnifies my mental stability through a subjectively metaphorical photography series. Social pressures can often be unbearable. It forces me to physically escape from uncomfortable situations; putting on an imaginary invisible cloak and disappearing out of sight. In the guise of ‘covered cars’ unnoticeably parked on the street, an affection towards a lifeless and insignificantly found object strangely resembles my vulnerable state of mind.
This micro handcrafted zine encourages you to magnify your thoughts and look closer into a world of introverts. Through a metaphorical visual series of sadden ‘covered cars’, the notion of abandonment, exclusion and depression could easily be observed as how an introvert would mentally struggle during unfortunate situations.
