Pathum Wan Junction
This is an urban investigation of Pathum Wan Junction, one of Bangkok’s busiest junctions, where both the local and foreign visitors socially gather to shop, hangout and get inspired. Pathum Wan Junction is home to many attractions from the ever-trending Siam district, the shoppers’ stop MBK to one of the most inspiring venue in town the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre.
Documented during the year 2016 and 2017, when the entire junction was transformed into an elevated pedestrain skywalk, this visual recording displays a diverse series of photographs that emphasise on the gradually changing urban and street landscapes from past to present. If you observe them closely, you will be able to sense a hint of what could be coming in the future days. It would be interesting to flip through this little photography zine in 10 years time to realise how the local cityscape could be changing, or not at all.
