Area 205
Through the unexpected stages of COVID-19 outbreak, time becomes an irrelevant factor as we are urged to stay home to stop the spread of this unpredictable virus.
‘Area 205’ is a visual documentation that looks at how a change of routines influences my typical artistic perspective to observing the often overlooked beauty within my oddly unfamiliar neighbourhood.
With the local clubhouse and riverwalk forced to shut down temporarily during the outbreak, the only alternative for me to keep fit and healthy is by taking regular strolls in my own neighbourhood; especially at sunrise. It is quite a heartwarming atmosphere to watch the urban mundane gets absorbed by the warmth of sunrise as the urban palette changes from a blue to yellowish temperature.
The hidden beauty of nature and things is not so distant after all. It literally lies before our eyes when we choose to observe and focus on what matters to us the most.
205 is the district street number of this estate of neighbourhood.
